TASHKENT, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached 65.9 billion U.S. dollars in 2024, local media reported on Monday.
From January to December 2024, the country's foreign trade turnover increased by 3.8 percent compared to the same period in 2023, said the report, citing the country's statistics agency.
Over the reporting period, exports reached 26.9 billion dollars, an 8.4 percent increase compared to 2023. Imports amounted to 38.9 billion dollars, up 0.8 percent from 2023.
Uzbekistan's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 6.5 percent in 2024, according to the press service of the Uzbek president.
