BEIJING, July 14 (Guangming Online) -- “This summit bringing together people from over a hundred countries reflects China’s vision of building an inclusive world based on dialogue and mutual learning between civilizations,” a senior official from Slovakia said at the Parallel Forum I of the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Beijing on July 12, 2025.
Michal Bartek, Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security and Member of the National Council, and Vice-Chairman of Trencin Self-Governing Region of Slovakia, looked back on the friendship between Slovakia and China, saying that the two countries share a longstanding friendship with strong historical roots and he is especially proud to see Chinese investment becoming a strong pillar of our economic future. “This means not just numbers, but opportunities, dignity, and social mobility for Slovak workers and families, ” Bartek added.
Looking ahead, Bartek noted that in the spirit of preparing the next generation for global cooperation, Slovakia will welcome a large group of Chinese students to Slovakia this August. “These young people will participate in high-level meetings and cultural exchanges, laying the ground for lasting friendship with our nation,” said Bartek.
Bartek also sent his wish to the meeting that China and everyone here carry out full discussion and fresh ideas for building an inclusive, multilateral world based on mutual respect, cooperation and peace.
Themed "Safeguarding Diversity of Human Civilizations for World Peace and Development," the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting has attracted over 600 guests from 140 countries and regions.
