The "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" Exchange Event 2025 and the launch ceremony for the 2026 edition took place in Beijing on July 2. Shen Beili, Vice Chairperson of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, attended and addressed the event. Thirty-three "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" from 19 countries, along with representatives and guardians from their institutions, were invited to participate.
Shen Beili welcomed the "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" to China for exchange and dialogue. She noted that since its launch in 2021, the program has attracted growing enthusiasm and participation from youth and organizations both in China and abroad. It has become a flagship initiative that uses culture as a bridge to connect hearts and minds among young people worldwide. She emphasized that cultural exchange and mutual learning serve as a vital force for advancing human civilization and promoting global peace and development. The China Soong Ching Ling Foundation is committed to working with all partners to actively respond to and implement the Global Civilization Initiative, build international exchange platforms, and erect bridges of friendship for young people around the world to learn from each other and grow together.
Dimitrii Vasetskii from Russia, Clementina Deane from the United States, and Remamy Larenah Tony from Madagascar spoke as representatives of the "Junior Cultural Ambassadors." They shared their fondness for Chinese cuisine and culture, introduced food and cultural aspects of their own countries, and expressed their dedication to actively fulfilling the role of cultural ambassadors and striving to serve as envoys of cultural exchange between their nations and China.
Under the theme "My Favorite Chinese Food," the 2025 "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" program received hundreds of submissions from 53 countries. Fifty-five young individuals from 38 countries were selected as "Junior Cultural Ambassadors," and 21 institutions from 17 countries were recognized as "Outstanding Organizations." Shen Beili and other officials presented certificates to the ambassadors and organizational representatives.
The event also announced the theme for the 2026 "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" program: "My Favorite Chinese Festival."
