WELLINGTON, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand's annual exports hit a record high of 80.7 billion NZ dollars (about 49 billion U.S. dollars) in 2025, Stats NZ reported Thursday.
"This is the first time that annual exports have reached 80 billion NZ dollars," said Stats NZ international accounts spokesperson Viki Ward.
The statistics department said the value of total exports in 2025 increased by 14 percent from a year earlier.
Dairy products remained the country's top export earner, with milk powder, butter, and cheese rising 21 percent annually to 24.3 billion NZ dollars in 2025, Ward said, adding the category made up 30 percent of total exports.
Meat and edible offal were the second-largest contributor, with the biggest increases to the United States and Britain, she said. (1 NZ dollar equals 0.61 U.S. dollar)
