BANGKOK, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- An AT-6 military aircraft crashed in Chiang Mai's Chom Thong district in Thailand on Thursday, leaving two dead, local media reported.

The accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. local time while the aircraft was conducting a flight training mission.

Emergency response teams were dispatched to the crash site, and investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
