TCM Tips 3: Using acupressure to cure toothache

Hegu is commonly called Hukou (“Tiger's Mouth”). This is because when the fingers are spread, the space between thumb and forefinger resembles the mouth of a tiger. If you have a toothache, you can massage the area with more pressure to get effective result.

Xia Guan is located at the lower border of the zygomatic arch, in the depression anterior to the condyloid process of the mandible - located with mouth closed. Acupressure to the area also will make you feel better, if you have a toothache.
