2018 Visiting Program for Young Sinologists opens in Beijing

BEIJING, July 6 (Guangming Online)-- 2018 Visiting Program for Young Sinologists opened Friday in Beijing, capital of China.

A total of 38 young sinologists from 34 countries attended the opening ceremony and five of them shared with the audience present their “China Stories”, showcasing their intimate bound with China.

The program will allow these young sinologists to have a study tour in several prestigious research institutions and universities in China and take them to the country’s Guizhou Province to experience local culture, ecological development and sci-tech innovation.

The program was jointly hosted by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and Chinese Academy of Social Science, and was organized by Network of International Culturalink Entities and Beijing Language and Culture University.

The program, 12th of its kind, was initiated in 2014, aiming to build a global platform to help young researchers overseas carry out studies on China.

And the program has played a significant role in helping young sinologists have a better understanding of China’s traditional culture and and its development.
