Timeline: BeiDou Navigation Satellite System
On June 23, China launched the 55th and last satellite of the BeiDou family, and completed the construction of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS). BeiDou is one of the four navigation satellite systems. The other three are the US’s GPS, Russia’s GLONASS, and the EU’s Galileo. Here are the timeline of the construction of BDS system.
